"Fooderos" is a simple food delivery product (comprising a mobile app/web and an admin panel), yet simultaneously, in collaboration with the Knexel team, we have endeavored to craft a product that users will truly adore!

Find problem
Despite the abundance of food delivery products in Azerbaijan, people persist in using the old "call restaurant" method. However, what is the primary reason people decline to use food ordering services? My initial step was to comprehend the users, so I conducted interviews with 15 individuals who order food at least 2-3 times a week. The research unveiled a few key issues, which are presented in the chart below. Furthermore, using this analysis, I crafted personas that aided me in developing empathy with my users.

As I mentioned before, there are a few other food delivery platforms in Azerbaijan, but what are their mistakes? Based on the data we've gathered from user interviews and benchmarking, we can clearly identify pain points and create a new, better product. In order to achieve that, we have decided to focus on the nearest restaurants to the user, so that delivery would be both affordable and fast.

From First Ideas to Final UI
Even though we know exactly what the user needs, we still need to build it properly. Therefore, we started with sketches of our future product. Based on those sketches, we created low-fidelity wireframes and tested them within a small circle of friends and family. However, after creating a pixel-perfect prototype, I conducted one more usability test with a focus group to uncover any potential problems.
Since we were building the new product, we had to work on every aspect. First of all, I focused on the color. Using color psychology methods, I chose the color orange, which is associated with fried food. As I aimed to create a playful feeling in the app, I designed a lively splash screen with a food animation.
